2019 Camomile Harvest Begins

Despite scorching UK weather this week the camomile fields are looking great as harvest starts.

The camomile is first cut into rows and left to dry in the field  in order to prepare it for the distillation process.

Here we see the cut camomile being turned over as it's swept into a single central row. This helps the plants to dry.

Finally the harvester shere picks up the cut and rowed flowers, spraying them directly into one of the mobile stills. Once full the still is taken back to Chestnuts farm and plugged straight into the distillery.
