Our Own Defibrillator

Camstar are pleased to announce that we now have a defibrillator available at all times. Research shows that the success rate for defibrillation can decrease by 10% for every minute wasted, so having the device onsite greatly increases the chance of survival in the event of an emergency.

The Philips Heartstart HS1 is specially designed so that it can be operated by anyone, it even has the ability to check for a heartbeat before administering treatment making innappropriate use practically impossible.

Our Assistant Production & Warehouse Manager, Karen Pretty has already completed the training course for the HS1. Karen says "Of course we hope it stays in it's box, but I'm glad that if it's needed I may be able to save a life".
