A New Coloursorter for 2025

While we've had colour sorters working for us for many years now we're always looking to see what's available in terms of the latest technology. We've just purchased the Optimum Novus which is the most versatile belt sorter on the market and packed with innovative features.

The Novus is equipped with cameras looking from 6 directions which allow a three dimensional model of the product to be created. This is then analysed to spot any defects which can then be ejected to waste by an array of compressed air nozzles which are only 4.6mm apart.. To further increase accuracy multiple lasers with different light frequencies scan the product up to 4000 times a second, giving an optical resolution of 0.3mm.

The first of these is to be installed for the 2025 season.
