Our New Harvester

The new Ploeger harvester is now up and running, and out in the fields. This is our second harvester and uses a different mechanism to our existing one, having the option to use a cutting action rather than a plucking action. Transport from field to factory is now by our fleet of specially commissioned lorries.

While it's possible to empty the harvester direct into one of the lorries they wouldn't be suitable for following the harvester through the crop. Instead we now have 'chasers' which can ferry the parsley to lorry, allowing the harvester to continue in it's work more or less uninterrupted.
